Rabbi Yossi Sprung author of “Medical Halacha on the Parsha,‏‏ founder and Rosh Beis Medrash Govoha for Medical Halacha, a global community of Rabbanim, Poskim, research institutions, scientists, medical professionals and lay leaders, creating a worldwide network for Medical Halacha.  . 

Rabbi Sprung grew up in Yerushalayim and attended Yeshivas Brisk. He received semicha from his Rebbe muvhak, HaGaon HaRav Asher Weiss shlit”a and other gedolim in Eretz Yisrael.
From 2001 to 2003, he served  as Rosh Kollel in the community Kollel in San Antonio Texas and upon returning to Israel, held senior faculty positions at Yeshivas Ohr Yerushalayim. 

Since 2004, he has served as the senior halachic assistant and Rosh Kollel for HaRav Asher Weiss shlit”a, tackling some of the most complex halachic queries from Jewish communities around the globe. 

Rav Yossi has emerged as an authoritative voice in understanding the interface between halacha and emerging technologies and he is regularly sought out as a speaker and advisor by rabbanim, medical professionals and technology companies and communities around the world.
