Tirtza Spiegel Strauss was an Anne Scheiber Scholar at the S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program at Yeshiva University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Tirtza completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Northwell Health (North Shore-LIJ) where she was the Academic Chief Resident and received the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine Award for Excellence in Obstetrics. After graduating, Tirtza joined the faculty at Wayne State University/Harper Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, where she was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Tirtza is currently pursuing her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai West in Manhattan. Tirtza is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Tirtza’s research interests include prenatal genetics, gestational diabetes, bleeding disorders in pregnancy, and expanding the use of ultrasound on Labor and Delivery.
